Privacy policy and use of cookies
This Privacy Policy explains how nextpoker.org (“Site”, “we”, “us”) processes information when you visit Next Poker Guide. We aim for transparency. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Data controller
Controller: Next Poker Guide editorial project (informational website at nextpoker.org).

We are not a gambling operator and do not operate player accounts.
2. What data we collect
The Site is mostly static HTML. We do not require registration to read guides. However, when you access pages, infrastructure providers may automatically process:
- IP address and approximate region (from IP);
- date/time of request, requested URL, HTTP status;
- browser user-agent, referrer URL, and basic device/browser type;
- security and anti-abuse signals (e.g. firewall logs).
If we enable analytics (such as Google Analytics 4), the analytics provider may set cookies or similar identifiers to measure traffic and page performance. We aim to minimise tracking and configure analytics with reasonable retention where possible. When analytics is active, this section will reflect the provider named in the site build configuration.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
- Strictly necessary cookies for security or basic operation (if enabled by hosting);
- Analytics cookies to understand aggregate traffic (if analytics is enabled);
- Affiliate / measurement tags on partner redirects to attribute outbound clicks (if configured).
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies may limit some features (e.g. analytics or language persistence if added later).
4. Affiliate and outbound links
The Site contains links to third-party operators and informational organisations. When you follow a partner link (including partner redirect redirects), you leave nextpoker.org. Third parties process data under their own privacy policies and terms.
We may receive affiliate commissions. That does not give us access to your operator account details unless you separately communicate with us.
5. Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies:
- Legitimate interests: operating, securing, and improving the Site; measuring aggregate performance; preventing abuse.
- Consent: where required for non-essential cookies/analytics (e.g. via a consent banner if implemented).
6. Retention
Server and security logs are kept for a limited period according to hosting provider defaults unless a longer period is required for security investigations or legal compliance. Analytics retention follows the analytics provider configuration when enabled.
7. Sharing and processors
We may use processors such as web hosting, CDN, DNS, email delivery (for contact mailboxes), and analytics providers. We do not sell personal data. Affiliates/partners receive information only when you choose to visit them.
8. International transfers
Processors may store data in countries other than your own. Where required, appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) may apply depending on vendor arrangements.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to processing, and data portability. You may also withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.

10. Gambling disclaimer tie-in
Privacy choices do not remove gambling risk. Next Poker Guide publishes educational content for adults 18+. Real-money poker involves financial loss and can be addictive. Use operator safer-gambling tools and independent support if needed — see our responsible gambling page.

We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page. Material changes will adjust the “Last updated” date below.
